The first week is already over in Seattle. I can not report on much to be honest.
It’s hot, I’m mostly riding Henry to the park and spend time on the green, with fruit, a salad, and a book.
Then I meet some friends, Seattle was really easy to connect to.
I’ve been out in the bars with Daniel, spent time on the beach with Wim, had a picnic and drinks in Volunteer Park with Joe and just squandered time.
I haven’t done anything touristic so far. To be honest, besides the concert at the Crocodile and the time at the beach I have not even left Capitol Hill so far.
It’s a bit of a shame? No, I’ve been to Seattle before, I’ve done the Space Needle and the Farmer’s Market, been to the museums and around Pioneer Square.
The two things that I really want to do is the Aviation Museum and the Boeing assembly lines, apparently one can take a tour.
Besides that I have started to prepare and go through the lists for Burning man, trying to organize a few things before heading down to San Francisco, like a tent, a bike, hiking shoes…
I’m trying to borrow as much as possible, first of all to bring down the cost, but also because Burning Man is precisely not about consumption, but leaving no trace behind.
So the blog might be a bit slow, with not many exotic or exciting updates, but this is just as fine for me, as I could not keep up the pace of the time in New Zealand and Japan, for example, for such a prolonged time.
