It was pouring down in the night and early morning. Torrential.

Ok, no Christ the Redeemer today. So I slept in, but it continued… and I settled for having a totally lazy day.

I cleaned my stuff a bit, went through my pictures, checked my spendings so far to see if I am still in my Rio budget…. and basically just hung around the house. Blogged. Nothing special.

But I had to do something, so I went to the movies and watched Gravity, that new movie everyone is talking about… It was great. I love Science fiction. Sandra Bullock rocked.

I managed to get to the cinema by taxi, which is tough if you can’t pronounce the streets and places correctly. I also just about managed to buy the ticket. But once they say or do something unexpected, I’m at a total loss. By now I manage to understand that they ask me ‘credit or debit’ each time. At least.

Luckily it was the same cinema that we went to for the film festival. I would never have found it in that huge shopping mall that if I hadn’t vaguely remembered the way Mauricio took…

The forecast for the next days isn’t too good, but luckily I have enough time on this trip to just sit out a rain front. And maybe watch more movies.
