Introducing Sabine

After another day of rain, I took the tram and metro today to go back to the airport, to wait for my sister.

She’ll be here for ten days and we’ll explore the city together.

Back home, we decided to stay in for dinner, I whipped up some mac ‘n cheese and a salad. And then we embarked on some serious planning of all the sights, while keeping one eye on the Eurovision Song Contest’s musical, fashion and other disasters….

Tomorrow, we’ll walk to Galata Tower, take the Füniküler down, to the fish market, walk over the bridge to the old town, see the spice bazaar, and then on to Hagia Sofia…

That’s the plan at least, we have lots of time, and we’ll probably need some coffee breaks…

We’ll get the museum card, that will allow us to jump all the queues. However, it also means we’ll have to do all the sites it gives access to within 72 hours…

After that, we’ll need a full day in a hamam. At least.
