Back home, I started unpacking, leaving my mom a heap of clothes to wash and starting so sort things for round two.
I will change some clothes, as after seven months there is some stuff that I really can’t see anymore, and take new things that I deposited at my parents place.
I went through all the memories, the flyers, tickets, maps etc. that I have amassed over the last seven months, I went through my letters that my parents had scanned or photographed and forwarded, and I still have tons of things to do.
I requested my election papers for the upcoming elections to the European Parliament, went to the town hall for other admin stuff, got a hair cut…
And then finally set down in a little restaurant and had my favorite meal: Kässpätzle, together with a Spezi (a mix of Coke and the orange flavored Fanta – try it!) and reading Germany’s biggest weekly (in kilograms) DIE ZEIT.
Then I went to see my good friend Petra, with whom I went to school for nine years, sitting next to each other, for an afternoon with her kids and husband, and later, cooked dinner (guess what…?) and enjoyed some good wine…
Tonight I will meet my sister, as we will head to her bar called Bäckerstübli in a little town in Switzerland across Lake Constance, for the monthly blues concert.
