Just booked my place there for the month in Buenos Aires: In the heart of Recoleta, the area my friend Sven had stayed in when I visited him back in February 2011.
This looks great. It’s a bit over budget, but as Lufthansa was so generously rerouting me via Lisbon and has transferred that onto my credit card already… Why not?
I have a bit more time in Argentina, I will stay until 4 December.
I still have to figure out what I’ll do with the remaining week and a half.
Maybe a trip to Uruguay to see Montevideo and spend a few days in Punta del Este? Maybe a trip south to see the glaciers? Or just a trip to Mendoza to slurp some wine…? I’ll see.

Montevideo is amazing!!!!!!!! You should go there. BUt it s a quick transfer by boat from BA so you might combine it with Patagonia! Do all, you only live once 😉
