Soy vegetariano

When I last visited Argentina in 2011, I remember the food options for vegetarians being a bit on the slim side… obvious, for a country that prides itself with prime meat! In all respects… 😉

Sure, the huge Italian immigration in the past has made Italian food readily available, pizza and pasta galore, so I did not starve.

But this time around, I feel like all the other places have expanded their veggie options on their menus, evolving past the obvious Lasagna verde to much more creative choices.

The best thing so far however is this little vegetarian buffet place that I have discovered right next to my gym: Happiness House, a rotisería vegetariána, serving a big variety of vegetarian food…

Rice, Chinese noodles, Indian samosas, Empanadas, grilled veggies, salads, fruit…. You pay by the kilo, and it’s cheap, only 39 AR$ for those two, not even 5 €. Explains why the place is always full. Too bad they’re not open in the evening!

It’s raining and I wanted to go to the gym later to swim, but after this I might need a floating aid.

Yumm.
