The tree house was set up, now we were ready for our first party, and our first playa gift: Free Mai Tai drinks and Sarongs for the first 100 visitors.

The first guests arrived at 8 o’clock sharp, probably as much in need for a drink as we were, after all the construction.

Black Rock City had visibly filled up, but now everybody was ready for a drink.

We served tons of Mai Tais, and the best thing: the people even stayed on after the drinks were out and the Sarongs gone.

We had a great time around our camp fire, with Hawaiian music, and made some new friends. After all that hard work and lots of sweat in the first two days to set up our camp in the heat, this was a great, promising start…
