So this morning I got up at 3h55, went to the airport again (only to be there before they actually opened security…) and went on my flight to Lisbon.

Which was delayed by one hour, due to ground fog and the need to get more fuel. I already saw my chances of getting to Rio on that day dwindling, until they assured us that the connections would be made!

Good old TAP had its planes to Rio and Sao Paulo waiting for us, so I made it in the end. There were just too many people needing to get on those two flights.

The flight was good, they even organized a veggie option for me. I was so tired I slept through most of the over-water parts of the flight – always my biggest fear when taking a plane – and only the descent into Rio was a bit rocky and turbulent due to thunderstorms.

Even the luggage made it. So off I go.
