So, it’s the last day in Buenos Aires and I have a whole schedule to meet people and say good-bye (for now). I lost a couple of days due to my cold, but I’m already packed, and I’m glad I get to see almost everyone one more time.
I had dinner with Matías on Monday in The Oldest (great pasta!), breakfast with Andrés on Tuesday (in Sofa Café), then coffee with my American friends Michael and Edgar in the afternoon at Santos Sabores, a drink and a bite with Hector in the late afternoon in La Boca and dinner with Javo, Joe, Brandon, Francois and Olivier in La Cholita the evening…
I’m sad to leave Buenos Aires, it was just getting so good and feeling so much like home. But I have to move on to Santiago tonight. I’m curious about that one, too.
Still, I wonder how it will feel, 6 months down the road, when I have to say good-bye every four weeks to a city and people that I just met and started to like… This is the one unpredictable thing in this trip, I don’t know how hard it will get to start from scratch over and over again, every four weeks. I’ll report.
Thank you Buenos Aires, it was a great time, and thanks to all the people I met there, long or short. I hope we stay in touch, and meet again!
