Night came early. It was pitch black at 9 o’clock. I went to the beach and had an amazing experience:

The full moon high in the sky above the Pacific Ocean.

So bright I cast a clear shadow.

The animal sounds.

The deserted beach at night.

The sea looking like silver and black at the same time.

That monolithic island far out in the sea lit up from above.

No colors.

The smell of the sea.

The smell of the wet sand.

The night dew.

The sound of the waves, breaking, thundering, rolling, hissing.

The sound of the foam as it dissolves and the bubbles burst.

The sound the water makes when it retreats.

The thin layer it leaves on the beach, like a mirror.
