It was a grey, rainy-ish day yesterday in Sydney so I went to the movies to finally see Meryl Streep in August: Osage County.

It’s about a family reunion, and Meryl plays a sick pill addict. Prime stuff, like only she can do. It’s creepy, she’s so far out…. just brilliant. It won’t happen now, but I bet something she will win a fourth Oscar in her career. On a  scale of 10 she’s a…. 50? She could play a standard lamp convincingly.

But Julia Roberts also plays a great role… I never thought much of her as an actress, but she nails it this time…

After that, I just walked around my Surry Hills neighborhood, having coffee and beers in different places and working on my laptop. I’m busy planning the New Zealand trip, especially my tour in a car, now that I’m driving also on the left!
