Back in Melbourne, I immediately felt at home as the taxi rolled through Fitzroy and on to Abbotsford, my new home in the Milkbar.
It’s a great place, in a quiet side street, in walking distance to the Abbotsford vietnamese area, and a 10 minute walk from my Smith Street watering holes.
My host Gerome lent me a bike and Kieran came over to go for a swim in the Richmond pool.
After that, a quick beer in DT Hotel, then on to Lentils as anything, and over to Sircuit.
Re-integration complete.
It didn’t get too late, tomorrow, on my last day in Australia, I have a string of dates with friends, from lunch with Will in Williamstown, to drinks with Kate in her restaurant in Brunswick, dumplings at ShanDong MaMa with Michael and a final round of beers in Sircuit and maybe swinging some leg at The Peel.
