I finally have a place in Melbourne!

It was tough! Prices are steep, I could not afford a whole place by myself like I had in Buenos Aires or Santiago. The choice on Airbnb was less extensive than in the other cities so far. Maybe because of the summer. And I’m relatively late.

Anyway, after a few days of intensive search I had narrowed down the choice and found my place: I’ll be staying with Kate, in the middle of Fitzroy, a great little neighborhood full of bars and life, in her great apartment.

I’m really looking forward to Melbourne. I have been drawn to it for years.

My friends Michaela and Murray told me so much about it… It’s gonna be fantastic!

In the days before, I’ll be staying in St. Kilda, a bit south of the centre, in the house of friends of Sven, where he, Kevin and Rajiv will stay for 9 days and start exploring.

Sven&Kevin have organized all that, from the place in Sydney to the NYE party with Harbor bridge view…

I’m gonna be in Melbourne until February 6th, now I have to figure out what I want to do then. I think I’ll head to Sydney for a week, to get to see the city a bit more in detail, too. And hopefully to meet my friend and colleague Ingrid for cocktails, as she heads out to another of her amazing cruises! That will be awesome!

I also would love to see Adelaide, maybe drive there. If I dare to do it on the left side.
