Xmas in SFO

On Thursday, I arrived well in time for the little dinner Renato and Dennis had prepared for me and our friends Lisa, her parents Nancy and Jim, and Brandon. We had ham, rice, Brussels sprouts, salads, cheese and lots of wine.

I managed to stay awake quite long, despite the 5 hour jet lag from Chile and the 24h trip.

Yesterday then we were waiting for my lost luggage to arrive, it was finally delivered in the afternoon.

I’m washing my clothes now and going through my stuff to drop off a few things that I have realized I did not need during the trip. I think I can lose one or two kilos in the process, substantial improvement…

Also I’m taking on board the new iPad, something that will decrease the weight further once I have gotten rid of my travel guides for Australia.

Last night then we went out for a few drinks and dinner in the Castro, nothing special, just the usual happy hour in the Midnight sun and Toad hall, The Edge and Moby Dick’s with Cape Cod.

Today I’ll be out shopping for a new jeans – the old one really is torn by now – before we head out to the airport again in the last afternoon.
