Today, I am boarding my last flight of my first Round-the-world ticket, flying from Tokyo-Narita back to Zurich, where it all started 6 months and 26 days ago.
I’ll have a short technical stop at Lake Constance, seeing my family and a few friends there, washing, changing clothes and dropping some superfluous weight before heading on to Istanbul.
Here are the stats for this last flight:
Flight 19 to Zurich
Date: 29/04/2014
Code: LX161 from NRT to ZRH
Airline: Swiss Airlines
Plane: Airbus 340-300
Distance flown: 6233 Miles
Duration: 12h05
We went up north to the 70th parallel, just barely making it to the Arctic Ocean and flying over some of these Siberian bays and fjords, then coming in over Murmansk, Helsinki, the Baltic sea and Gdansk.
