Back in Brussels, I have spent the first few days carrying boxes around. Bringing stuff up from the basement, bringing stuff down to the basement, going through all boxes, checking what I would need and what could potentially stay in the basement for another couple of months….
Brussels weather was at it’s best for such an activity, grey, drizzly rain for two days.
The results are good though, 20 boxes emptied, 20 more downstairs, some 10 upstairs waiting to be stored…
I unpacked the necessary things, even though, after living out of a suitcase for 18 months, ‘necessary’ is quite relative. Most of the stuff is nice to have but absolutely not vital.
Still, I unpacked my vinyl collection. I didn’t want to keep it in the boxes downstairs anymore, and they add a nice feeling to the place…
So I guess I will gradually upgrade, and get myself installed properly.
But now that the journey is over, friends ask me what will happen to this blog….
Well, I intend to keep on posting, less regularly, about coming back, about how it feels…
It’s what everybody has been asking from the first few hours when – honestly – I didn’t feel a thing… I will only be able to share that with time passing, and then I’ll write about it….
I also have tons of other info on the trip, the travel statistics, the budget, maps, etc coming up…
So check back from time to time, there will be updates.
For the time being, I’m off to London! Film festival, Madonna party, drinks with friends… I just can’t find my OysterCard in that mess…
